No. All circumcisions at our Cambridge clinic are performed under local anaesthetic, so the procedure itself is pain-free. For older boys and adults, needle-free anaesthesia is available at an additional cost.
For newborns we usually recommend the Circumplast ring. For adults, the choice of ZSR stapler, glue or stitches is discussed at consultation, along with the style of circumcision you prefer. Your surgeon will recommend the safest option for your age and anatomy.
